How it works

The obvious answer
sinks you least

Krillion gives everyone the same seven prompts each day, like “Name a laptop brand”. You get a few seconds per prompt. Any valid answer counts, but the less common it is, the more points it earns.

Every point takes you 10 metres down. Land the gem on all seven prompts and you score 700, which puts you on the trench floor at 7,000 m.

The six tiers

TierPointsWhat it means
One in a Krillion +100 The gem picked for each prompt. Trench floor.
Deep Cut +85 Real obscurity. This is where the list gets long.
Rare +60 Genuinely uncommon. Most players never get here.
Schooler +30 Solid, but you’re swimming with the crowd.
Too Clever +15 The “obscure” pick that half the players also picked.
Plankton +10 The first thing everyone thinks of.

Questions

When does the Krillion answer sheet change?
A new dive starts every day at 04:00 UTC (midnight in New York during daylight saving time). This site picks up the new sheet within minutes.
Where do the answers come from?
From the answer sheet the game itself publishes for the current day. We save a copy each day, which is why older dives are still readable here after the game stops showing them.
Why is my answer not listed?
The sheet only contains answers the game accepts. If a fair answer is missing, it was most likely left out of the official set. Our checker also tries simple spelling variants such as plurals.
Is the One in a Krillion always the rarest answer?
Not always. The game picks one or two gems per prompt partly for how satisfying they are to land on, so some Deep Cuts can be rarer than the gem.
Is this the official Krillion site?
No. krillion.wiki is a fan-made companion. The game lives at krillion.io.
