Are there Krillion cheats?
No codes. Just better answers.
Last revised
There are no Krillion cheats, codes or hacks. The only real shortcut is looking up the day’s answers before you play, which works but takes the fun out of it. What does work is knowing how Krillion builds its answer sheets, and the numbers from our archive make the best Krillion strategy surprisingly simple.
The closest thing to a Krillion cheat: the numbers
Across the 224 prompts in our archive since September 28, 2026, a typical prompt accepts:
| Tiers | Points | Answers on a typical prompt |
|---|---|---|
| Plankton, Too Clever, Schooler | 10–30 | 23 |
| Rare | 60 | 65 |
| Deep Cut | 85 | 476 |
Medians per Krillion prompt. One in a Krillion usually has one or two gems per prompt.
The obvious answers are a short list; the Deep Cuts are a long one. On 188 of 224 Krillion prompts, more than half of all accepted answers are Deep Cuts. So once you skip the handful of answers everyone thinks of first, almost any correct answer lands deep.
That matters for your total. Seven Deep Cuts make 595 points, which Krillion grades “One in a krillion. Trench dweller. Absurd.” Seven Rare answers make only 420. You don’t need the gem to reach the top verdict at 450.
When the Krillion trick doesn’t work
Some prompts have a short, fixed list of answers, like countries that fit a narrow rule. There is no long tail of Deep Cuts to fall into, so every answer is a real choice. The smallest Krillion prompts so far:
- Name a language that’s the most spoken in at least one country in the Americas.: 8 answers in total (Krillion #91)
- Name a country that borders Greece or Austria: 12 answers in total (Krillion #98)
- Name a country that borders Iraq or Iran by land: 12 answers in total (Krillion #88)
On prompts like these, think about which correct answers people forget, not which ones are obscure. And watch out for answers that are already in the prompt: those tend to be marked Too Clever, worth just 15 points.
Krillion rules that work in your favour
- A miss is the worst Krillion result. A prompt with no accepted answer scores 0, while even Plankton scores 10. If you are stuck, a safe answer beats nothing.
- Krillion spelling matters, in an odd way. The Krillion FAQ says autocorrect checks every answer’s aliases, so “being a letter or two off one of them can turn your guess into something you weren’t expecting.” Its example: “sea monkey” is one letter off “sea donkey”, an alias of the Threebanded Sheephead. Type carefully.
- The gem isn’t the most obscure answer. The FAQ says the One in a Krillion answer is also picked for fun factor, because “the gem should be something at least a few of you actually get.” Chasing the strangest answer you know won’t necessarily find it.
- Fair answers can be missing. If a correct answer isn’t accepted, the FAQ’s explanation is “Because I didn’t find it, sorry.” The game often adds answers after release, so it may count later.
Ways to get help without spoiling Krillion
- Hints give answer counts, word length and the gem’s first letter, one step at a time.
- The guess box on today’s Krillion answers tells you which tier a word lands in before you play it.
- The archive is free practice: read past prompts and see what counted as a Deep Cut.
Whether that counts as a cheat is up to you. Krillion is played alone, but if you compare scores with friends or in Discord, checking answers first isn’t a fair race.
Krillion cheats questions

There are no cheat codes or hacks. The only real shortcut is looking up the day’s answers before you play. The tips that actually raise your score come from how the answer sheets are built.
Is there a Krillion answer key?
Every accepted answer is on the game’s daily answer sheet, which we show tier by tier on our today page. Past sheets since September 28, 2026 are free to read in our archive.
How do you get a high score in Krillion?
Skip the first answers that come to mind and name something correct but less common. On a typical prompt that’s enough for a Deep Cut (85 points), and seven Deep Cuts make 595, which earns the top verdict.
