Privacy policy
Last revised
Effective October 3, 2026. This policy covers krillion.wiki, which is run by the Krillion.wiki team. Questions or requests go to contact@krillion.wiki.
The short version
- There are no accounts, sign-ups or forms. We never ask for your name.
- Your guesses and the tiers you reveal are saved in your own browser and never sent to us.
- We measure visits with Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics, and show ads through Google AdSense.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies stay off unless you agree to them.
What we collect, and how
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how the site is used: the pages you view, the site that referred you, your approximate location, and your device and browser type. We also record a few on-site actions, such as revealing a tier, opening a hint, or the tier a guess landed in. We never record the words you type.
Outside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga and
_ga_ followed by an ID) for up to two years. Inside those regions it sets no cookies unless you agree,
and Google receives only cookieless, aggregated signals. We keep analytics data for no longer than 14 months.
Google’s handling of this data is described in its privacy policy.
Advertising
We show ads through Google AdSense to keep the site free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can turn off personalised advertising at any time:
- in Google’s Ads Settings, or
- for many third-party vendors at once, at www.aboutads.info.
Google explains how it uses information from sites that show its ads in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and lists its advertising cookies in its cookie policy.
Your browser’s local storage
When you reveal a tier or make a guess, the site remembers it in your browser’s local storage (entries starting with
kw:) so it’s still there when you come back. This stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can
clear it any time through your browser’s settings.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and handle your request, and delete it within 12 months.
Cookies at a glance
| Type | Set by | Why | EEA, UK, Switzerland |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consent choice | Google’s consent message | Remembers what you agreed to | Only after you make a choice |
| Analytics | Google Analytics | Counts visits and how the site is used | Off unless you agree |
| Advertising | Google and its partners | Shows, measures and limits repeat ads; personalises ads | Off unless you agree |
We don’t set any cookies of our own.
Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland
For visitors in these regions, analytics and advertising storage is switched off by default. Nothing non-essential is stored on your device and no personalised ads are shown until you agree in our consent message, which is provided by Google and certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Until then, any ads you see are non-personalised. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy link the consent message leaves on the page.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for analytics and advertising cookies, and on our legitimate interest in running and securing the site for hosting data.
Where data is processed
Google and Cloudflare may process data in the United States and other countries. Both use safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses for transfers out of the EEA and the UK.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and California law (CCPA/CPRA), you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data about you, object to or restrict its use, and opt out of personalised advertising. California residents can also opt out of the “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, which you can do through Google’s Ads Settings above.
To make a request, email contact@krillion.wiki. We reply within 30 days. Most analytics and advertising data is held by Google under a pseudonymous ID we can’t link to you, so Google’s own tools are usually the quickest way to see or delete it. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Krillion.wiki is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update it on this page and change the date at the top. If a change affects how your data is used, we’ll say so in a note at the top of this page for at least 30 days.
