What’s a good Krillion score?

From Plankton to trench dweller.

Last revised

Krillion grades your daily total with one of five verdicts. By the game’s own lines, 251 or more is where your dive counts as Rare (“Rare. Below the thermocline. Nice.”), and 450 or more earns the top verdict: “One in a krillion. Trench dweller. Absurd.” The maximum is 700 points, a 7,000 m dive.

Krillion doesn’t publish other players’ scores, and neither can we, so the fairest way to judge a score is against those verdicts.

Every Krillion score verdict

ScoreDepthVerdictOne way to get there
0–150 0–1,500 m “Plankton. Plenty of ocean left down there.” 7 Plankton = 70
151–250 1,510–2,500 m “Schooler. Swimming with the school.” 7 Schooler = 210
251–350 2,510–3,500 m “Rare. Below the thermocline. Nice.” 3 Rare + 4 Schooler = 300
351–449 3,510–4,490 m “Deep cut. Seriously deep dive.” 7 Rare = 420
450+ 4,500–7,000 m “One in a krillion. Trench dweller. Absurd.” 2 gems + 5 Rare = 500

The verdicts are quoted from the game. The examples are just one of many ways to reach each range.
